Yeb Wiersma graduated at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Fine Arts) in Amsterdam after which she continued her studies at Cooper Union in NYC. Recently she was selected as an artist-in-residence at the van Eyck Academie, Maastricht. Her works have been presented by De Oude Kerk, A Tale of a Tub, WEST, FOAM Amsterdam, NEST, The Gentlewoman Magazine, Swiss Book Designs, Jinji Lake Art Museum Suzhou a.o.

Her PROJECTS combine video, printed matter, interventions and performance. With her hybrid oeuvre she recognizes and enables fresh, migratory relations between different people, objects, times and places, culture and nature, visible and invisible forces, as well as explores how the nature and language of these relationships can be scrutinized and reconsidered through visual and spatial interpretation.

Her PRACTICE is shaped by the belief that being in motion and in relation, and the application of embodied, observational skills, the suspension of interpretation, spark sensory and alternative routes of knowledge making. On this occasion she recently co-established: www.glubbdubdrib.org
