How to describe the relationship between a body and the forces acting upon it and its motion in response to said forces?
Series of site-visits, movement- and collaborative exercises1 and interventions for the students of the Jewelry Department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Offering tools2 in terms of physical- and sensual knowledge making3 and affirm the notion of play.
The first assignments4 took place on the rooftop5 of the Tetterode Building overlooking the city and their practice (bird’s-eye-view6) from a distance. From there on the students moved downwards, into the realm of the streets (close-up view), into a Buddhist Temple – Natural History Collection – Grocery Store –
Zebra Crossings – Passers-By, Cars – Traffic Light Armature.
